We have a high visibility opportunity (1 st shift) for an Operations Supervisor in our manufacturing and distribution center.
Take on leadership and accountability for the safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance of a multi-cell/line operation.
The Operations Supervisor will help drive operational excellence throughout the facility.
This key role requires daily interaction with manufacturing team to meet manufacturing goals and objectives.
Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities are critical performance criteria for this position.
? Lead the management of daily workforce including assigning positions, training, discipline, recognition, and other workforce management as needed to meet production demand.
? Deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
? Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation as required.
? Train operators and ensure they follow WIs, processes, and procedures to correctly produce products from the value stream.
? Lead the maintenance functions to ensure problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials are resolved correctly in a timely manner.
Determine root cause to drive preventative actions to eliminate future operational downtime.
? Interact with plant management to ensure their production needs are met.
? Partner with DC to ensure orders are delivered on time.
? Complete line clearance, scrap records, training records, and other documentation as required.
? Complete production reporting of work orders to ensure accuracy of component inventory.
? Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
? Ensure full compliance with the policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Lebanon Seaboard facilities.
? Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Bachelor's degree in a business or science discipline (preferred).
- Recent manufacturing leadership/supervisor experience of 2-4 years.
- Strong manufacturing aptitude.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to execute on prioritizations.
- Ability to manage multiple personnel with minimal supervision.
- High level of initiative and flexibility in adapting to changing needs of a dynamic work environment.
Highly Desirable - Basic common sense and root cause / problem solving abilities - Basic computer skills - Background using manufacturing production & reporting systems - Daily/weekly shift reports - Accurate recording of required production metrics ie.
final production counts, OEE, etc.
- Excel experience - CI/Lean experience - 5S experience Physical Requirements -Walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 50lbs - Standing for long period of time - Must be highly mobile, as the position requires much walking, turning, bending.
